Currently, we do not have plans to decrease the sodium in our bone broth nor to release a salt-free version. This is because the naturally occurring sodium has a number of health benefits.
The sodium that is in our bone broth comes from two sources. The majority of salt is from the bones themselves. A small portion, 10% comes from the added Celtic sea salt, the benefits of which you can read about at the Livestrong website. Of course, even though we, and functional health practitioners such as Chris Kresser, recommend the benefits of naturally occurring sodium, you should always listen to the advice of your healthcare provider.
